Kesari Chapter 2 Release Update: After the underperformance of the Salman Khan Starrer Sikandar and Sunny Deol's Jaat at the box office, moviegoers are now looking forward to the release of Kesari Chapter 2. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the historical courtroom drama features Akshay Kumar in the lead role alongside R Madhavan and Ananya Panday playing important characters.

With its release approaching, Kesari 2 is generating immense buzz among audiences. The trailer and its songs have already received a positive response, further amplifying anticipation. Kesari Chapter 2 has officially received an 'A' (Adults Only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). With Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan leading the cast, the film has officially received clearance for release, clocking in at a total runtime of 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 6 seconds.

According to the official listing on the CBFC website, the film received its certification on April 9, 2025. The adult rating suggests that the film includes intense and possibly graphic scenes, as it deals with the powerful and emotional aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre-one of the darkest moments in India's history.

Backed by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh draws inspiration from the acclaimed book The Case That Shook The Empire by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat.

The film tells the story of Advocate C. Sankaran Nair, a former President of the Indian National Congress, who courageously sought justice for the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The courtroom drama takes viewers deep into India's history, showcasing bold storytelling and strong performances.

Akshay Kumar steps into the role of C. Sankaran Nair, a courageous lawyer who boldly stood up to the British Empire following the tragic events of the massacre. Ananya Panday portrays Dilreet Gill, while R. Madhavan plays Neville McKinley. Simon Paisley Day takes on the role of General Reginald Dyer, the British officer responsible for the tragic event at Jallianwala Bagh.

Kesari 2 is confirmed to hit the silver screens on April 18.
