Krishna Shroff Ditches Cheat Meals: 'It Takes Me a Couple Steps Back From My Progress'

Krishna Shroff Ditches Cheat Meals

The fitness world has long been divided on the concept of cheat meals. And fitness icon & entrepreneur Krishna Shroff has picked her side. While many fitness enthusiasts swear by indulging and encouraging weekly cheat meals as a way of psychological reset, Krishna's decidedly different approach towards this concept, challenges conventional wisdom. Her evolution from following traditional cheat meal protocols to embracing a more intuitive eating style, reflects a growing understanding that sustainable fitness isn't about restriction and reward cycles, but about creating a balanced relationship with food.

"I don't have cheat meal days. When I first started my fitness journey I definitely did follow that rule where I would have one cheat meal a week. But now that I'm a little further along in my fitness journey, I actually realised that for me, it kind of backtracks me and takes me a couple steps back from my progress. So what I prefer to do, is just incorporate all my favorite foods in my diet plan. I wouldn't even say diet because I'm not really dieting. I'm kind of just into intuitively eating and that comes with practice. So the more experience you have in this field and throughout this process, the more you'd be able to do it that way too. So for me, I love to incorporate my favorite foods in my diet and that way I don't really have that craving to binge and then feel like I've been backtracked!"

Krishna's philosophy represents a mature understanding of nutrition that goes beyond the all-or-nothing mentality that often leads to fitness burnout. It is also tailor-made to accommodate her dietary consumption based on her body's requirements. By integrating her favorite foods into her regular eating pattern rather than segregating them, Krishna's way of dealing with cheat day meals effectively eliminates the psychological need and drama of cravings, that often accompany traditional dieting approaches. This method not only prevents the binge-guilt cycle but also makes fitness a sustainable lifestyle choice, rather than a temporary fix.
