Lara Dutta Father Death: Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is mourning the loss of her father, Retired Wing Commander L.K. Dutta, who passed away on May 31, 2025. His death came shortly after his 84th birthday on May 12, a date that also marked the 25th anniversary of Lara's Miss Universe victory.

According to reports, the funeral took place at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium in Mumbai, with Lara and her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, in attendance.

A few days prior to his passing, Lara shared heartfelt photos with her father, who was in a wheelchair. In one image, she was seen performing a puja. Alongside the pictures, she expressed her emotions: "Yesterday was a day of roller coaster emotions….. the 12th of May…….. a significant day in my life! Not just my Dad's birthday, but also the day I won Miss Universe 25 years ago!. Time certainly flies!!!"

In her post, Lara further reflected on life's fleeting nature: "Marked the day yesterday with a puja to celebrate my father's life…… knowing full well how fleeting and fragile life is, it's important to acknowledge and be grateful for the gifts the universe bestows upon us. Thank you for the love and for your companionship over the last 25 years!" Her words resonated with many fans who offered their condolences.
