Love And War MAJOR Update: Deepika Padukone is all over the internet after a reddit post claimed that the new mommy-to-be is set to appear in Love And War opposite Ranbir Kapoor. While it was already confirmed and reported that the actress will appear in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali period drama, her role and the part in the movie wasn't confirmed. Now, a reddit post shared a screenshot of an updated news that claimed that the actress is set to appear on a 40-minutes part where she will majorly share screen with Ranbir Kapoor. That is not it, the post has also claimed that she will appear in steamy scenes with Ranbir Kapoor that might get the film an 'A' certificate.

The Reddit post that shared the screenshot of a report claiming that Deepika will appear in an emotionally intense role that will have 40 minutes of screentime involving steamy scenes that might push the film to getting 'A' certificate category. It further claimed that the actress hasn't officially signed the film but she is considering this after her bold role in Gehraiyaan. Furthermore, if Deepika signs in for the film, she will reportedly start the shooting in next 4 months.

Well, after the news broke, as expected, Reddit lost their mind, one user wrote, "A lengthy DEEPIKA cameo with STEAMY romantic scenes that could push the film into the A RATED category?? PLEASE DO IT!" One user commented, "40 minute role is basically another lead. Honestly this would be pretty crazy if it happens. Now it's upto SLB to make sure all four leads get good storylines." One user predicted, "The PR drama gonna be insane if this happens. Credit hogging if it turns out to be a success and blame game if it bOmbs."

Love And War is a period drama that is set in the army & war backdrop of 1950-60s. The war drama is reportedly to be a love triangle between Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. While Ranbir and Vicky are playing the roles of army officers, Alia's role earlier claimed to be a jazz bar singer. Now, as Deepika Padukone is gearing up to join the cast, it is to see what she brings in the table.

Earlier in an interview with Variety, Sanjay Leela Bhansali told, "It's a love story that I'm making after a long time. A slightly contemporary work, different from the dances, pillars, architecture, drapes, curtains, and jewellery [of Heeramandi]. It's a new language, milieu, and ambience for me."

He further added, "I needed [it] very much to excite me as a filmmaker to do something new, to speak of a different period, a different set of characters, and new circumstances."

Talking about the excitement on working with Vicky, Alia, and Ranbir, SLB said, "It's nice to work with this wonderful cast of Ranbir, Vicky, and Alia. It'll be nice to see how their chemistry works. And [it is] a triangular love story, which has not come in Hindi cinema for a long time. So let's see how it all shapes up."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has earlier worked with Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Ranbir Kapoor in his debut film Saawariya, however, this is the first time he is collaborating with Vicky Kaushal. Earlier, it was speculated that the movie will be a 'Sangam' remake. Rubbishing off the rumours, the director said, "You shouldn't remake Sholay or Mother India, so why would I remake Sangam?"
