Maalik: How Much Did Huma Qureshi Charge For 'Dil Thaam Ke' Song?
In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Huma Qureshi revealed that she did the 'Dil Thaam Ke' song for absolutely free. "It's not the first time I've been offered a song, but I just loved this one so much that I had to say yes. The moment producer Jayu (Jay Shewakramani) played it for me, I absolutely fell in love. I knew I had to be a part of it," the 'Maharani' actress told the portal. "Honestly, it felt like a bunch of friends coming together, it was a no-brainer," she shared her reaction.
While talking about the song, Huma got candid and revealed, "Doston se kaise paise le sakte hai (How can one borrow money from friends?) It was just two days of shooting, so I felt it really wasn't necessary to take money."
"There was no fixed plan, it just happened. I remember on the second day, there was a complicated shot the choreographer had designed, with a lot of camera movement and many junior dancers involved. It took time to get everything right. Everyone was trying their best. It was a technical thing, it was no one's fault," continuing further, she added, "I don't believe in walking away, saying my shift is over. My conditioning is such that if I'm at work, I'll finish my job and then leave. So yes, it went on for 16 hours, but it wasn't planned. It was just one of those intense days on set."
For those unversed, Rajkummar Rao had undergone intense training for his dramatic transformation. He also took training from ammunition experts to master the technique of using an AK-47 for his character in Maalik.
