The actor has recently announced his wife Patralekhaa's pregnancy and he has been over the moon about embracing fatherhood for the first time. Besides, Rajkummar has also been creating a lot of buzz for his new release Maalik. Touted to be an action thriller, Maalik is directed by Pulkit and has been one of the most talked about releases of the year.
Apart from Rajkummar, Maalik also features Manushi Chhillar in the lead marking her first collaboration with the Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Besides, Maalik also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Anshumaan Pushkar and Swanand Kirkire in key roles. Interestingly, there have been rumours about Maalik being based on a true story. However, as per a report published in India TV, Maalik is not a remake. Needless to say, Maalik has managed to create a lot of buzz in the town with its intriguing trailer and a fresh chemistry between the duo. As Maalik is hitting the screens today, the social media is abuzz with tweets about this Rajkummar Rao starrer.

He gets in to role of a gangster deeply the BGM and taut screenplay add good value. #ManushiChhillar is good too. Watch it". Another user wrote, "First Half Of #Maalik...."Completely opposite of expectations... Maybe the second half will be better. Actors' performances were good."
Meanwhile, Maalik has been facing consistent comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Allu Arjun's Pushpa. We're telling a story that's raw, real, and rooted in its own world".
