Taking to her Instagram handle, Mannara shared a post which read as, "With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family". Raman Rai Handa is survived by his while Kamini Kapoor Handa and daughters Mannara and Mitali. For the uninitiated, Mannara Chopra's mother, Priyanka Chopra's father, and Parineeti Chopra's father are siblings.

Earlier, Mannara's sister Mitali had spoken up about their family's equation with Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra's family and told Pinkvilla, "I will be honest. We are very close as a family; there's no doubt about it. We are there for each other whenever we need something. All of us are connected, and we are a well-bonded family".
