Mawra Hocane On Harshvardhan Rane's Remark On Sanam Teri Kasam 2: Amid the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan, several celebs from both countries have been voicing their opinions on social media. Among this, Harshvardhan Rane announced his decision to step back from Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane will be a part of it. His decision came after Mawra's anti-India posts which was criticised by Harshvardhan.
He had emphasised that while standing by one's country is good, one has no right to make disrespectful and hateful remark for other country like Mawra did.

Harshvardhan Rane's Post About Sanam Teri Kasam 2

Taking to social media, Harshvardhan wrote, "While I am grateful for the experience however as things stand and after reading the direct comments made about my country, I have made a decision to respectfully decline to be a part of Sanam Teri Kasam part 2 if there is any possibility of the previous cast being repeated". He also emphasised, "I respect all artists and humans of this country, that country, Kenya and even Mars, but this kind of derogatory remarks about my country by anyone is unpardonable".

Mawra Hocane Takes A Jibe At Harshvardhan Rane

In a long post on her social media account, Mawra called Harshvardhan Rane's decision to step away from Sanam Teri Kasam 2 a PR strategy. She wrote, "I don't know whether to call this unfortunate, sad or comical. someone I expected to have basic common sense has risen from deep slumber with a PR strategy. Look around you, look at what's going on!!! We could all hear explosions, children in my country died due to an unjustified cowardly attack, innocent lives are lost and after multiple attempts to still maintain grace and peace, a befitting response by my armed forces have caused frenzy in your country last night. While our nations are at war, this is what you come up with.. a PR statement to get attention??? What a pity!"

She further added, "Making such announcements at this volatile time, it's both shameful and bizarre to see you so hungry and desperate. If throwing all the respect away and using my name after 9 years is getting you the headlines, you might be surrounded by the wrong team. Praying for our soldiers.. and civilians on both sides, not immersed in the thoughts of what my next film should be! May sense prevail".

Meanwhile, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire just hours after ceasefire was announced on May 10. As a result, several Indian celebs have condemned Pakistan's actions. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Aly Goni wrote, "Urdu mein likhke bhejo English mein samaj nahi aaya hoga yeh anpad Army ko.. #ceasefireviolations"
