He further called out Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane for calling out India's strike 'Operation Sindoor.' Recently, Sanam Teri Kasam's director has made a statement on casting Mawra as the actress in the potential sequel.

Will there be Sanam Teri Kasam 2? Amid the speculation of the upcoming sequel, the directors of the movie, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have made a statement on whether Mawra will ever be cast as an actress in Sanam Teri Kasam 2, if it happens.

As per Hindustan Times's report, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have said, "Terrorism of any kind, against any nation, state or people must be condemned unequivocally. What's even more disheartening in this case is the silence or worse, the statements of certain actors who have worked in India, received immense love, respect and opportunity, yet failed to condemn such act or terror against India." Indirectly talking about Mawra Hocane, they said, "some have gone so far as to criticize India's legitimate steps to fight terrorism."

They further showed support in disengaging with any Pakistani talent. The duo said, "We fully agree with our government's decision: Not a single rupee should be paid." They further claimed that there should not be any time or money spent on Pakistani artists, indirectly confirming that if Sanam Teri Kasam 2 happens, Mawra won't be cast as the lead actress.
