Mawra Removed From Sanam Teri Kasam Poster After Her Controversial Remarks About India? Here’s What We Know

Mawra Hocane Removed From Sanam Teri Kasam Poster: Pakistani actress Mawra Hocae has found herself in a tough spot ever since she made some controversial remarks against India. It all started post Operation Sindoor, following which she got into a war of words with her Sanam Teri Kasam co-star Harshvardhan Rane. And now, this war of words seems to have taken a new turn as Mawra has reportedly been removed from the official posters of her Bollywood debut Sanam Teri Kasam.
Mawra Hocane Controversy
It all started after India struck 9 terror bases in Pakistan, following which Mawra Hocane, along with other Pakistani celebrities,s took to social media and made bizarre statements about India. While Harshvardhan Rane refused to work with Mawra in Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if the original cast was retained, this didn't go down well with the Pakistani actress, who took a jibe at Harshvardhan and called his decision a PR stunt. She wrote, "If throwing all the respect away and using my name after 9 years is getting you the headlines, you might be surrounded by the wrong team. Praying for our soldiers.. and civilians on both sides, not immersed in the thoughts of what my next film should be! May sense prevail".

Soon, the Sanam Teri Kasam director Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao dropped Mawra Hocane from Sanam Teri Kasam 2 and supported the ban on Pakistani artists working in India. "The nation comes before everything else," their statement emphasised. And now, in a recent update in the matter, Mawra has been removed from the official posters of Sanam Teri Kasam. Yes! You read it right. Mawra is no more a part of the official posters of the film on Spotify and other music apps.
Meanwhile, Harshvardhan Rane also slammed Mahira for spewing hate against him and wrote, "That sounded like an attempt at a personal attack. An Indian farmer would pluck out the unwanted weed from his crop-it's called weeding. The farmer doesn't need a PR team for this act, it's called common sense. I am fully within my rights to choose not to work with individuals who label my country's actions as 'cowardly'. So much hate in her speech, so many personal remarks. I never mentioned her name or resorted to calling her names"
