Meet School Girl Turned Actress: Actors and actresses were given best actors and actress awards along with several others yesterday at IIFA Awards 2025. One actress was also there and received the award at the ceremony. But her presence and receiving the award left the entire industry proud of her. She is everyone's favorite 'Phool' from Laapataa Ladies, Nitanshi Goel. Many might not be well aware of her career's trajectory and how she gained fame in this competitive industry. So, today let's take a moment to celebrate the actress who not only captured hearts but also smashed records as the youngest actress with IIFA Award.

Nitanshi was born on June 12, 2007, and is now 17 years old. She is from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and started her career at a very tender age. She was only 8 years old when she became Miss Pantaloons Junior Fashion Icon in 2015. Nitanshi has since then become the brand ambassador of several big names such as Biba, East Essence, among others. She stepped into acting at the age of 9 and began her career on TV with shows such as Naagarjuna: Ek Yoddha, Karmaphal Daata Shani, Ishqbaaz, Daayan, Peshwa Bajirao, and many more.

Nitanshi then appeared in films like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Indu Sarkar, adn Hurdang. However, the actress gained global recognition with her recently released film Laapataa Ladies. The movie is directed by Kiran Rao and is made under Aamir Khan's production. Recalling her experience working with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Nitanshi said to Firstpost, "I got a call within a few hours of the audition that Kiran ma'am and Aamir sir want to meet you for lunch. At first, I thought that it was a prank call. Maine bola ki mere dimaag main toh ek hi Aamir Khan arahe hain, par aap please specifically bataaiye aap kiski baat karahe hain. They assured me that it was him and I was surprised, it was unbelievable. I was so nervous to meet him. He said, 'Aapne kya kamaal ka audition diya hai'. He went up to my mom and said, 'Aapke paas heera hai'."

Nitanshi is the youngest actress who has a huge Instagram following of 10 Million. Well, she has created another history by being the youngest to win the Best Actress award at the IIFA Awards 2025.

Dressed in a strapless ruby-red dress, Nitanshi looked beautiful as she went to stage to receive the award. The actress dedicated her award to her mother, saying, "I dedicate this to my mom, to everyone who loved Phool, to those who accepted me, Nitanshi and Phool. A special thanks to Kiran ma'am, Aamir sir, and the entire team of Laapataa Ladies. And of course, the universe for making this happen."
