Mother s Day Actor Ira Dubey Dedicates 100 Trees To Honour

Actor Ira Dubey whose extensive body of work includes acclaimed plays like 'Womanly Voices', '30 Days in September', 'Adhe Adhure' and 'August: Osage County' as well as films such as 'Marigold, 'Aisha' and 'Dear Zindagi' has made a deeply meaningful gesture on Mother's Day. Partnering social enterprise Grow-Trees.com, she has dedicated 100 trees to her mother and celebrated film and theatre stalwart Lillete Dubey. These trees will enrich biodiversity in Baran, Rajasthan as part of the Trees for Farmers® project. In the financial year 2025-26, Grow-Trees.com plans to plant over 20,000 trees on local farm land to recharge groundwater, provide fodder for livestock, control soil erosion and generate rural employment.

Expressing her appreciation for the project, Ira says, "This Mother's Day, what can be better than nourishing the earth that sustains us with such generosity? I am glad that the trees I am dedicating will replenish the ecology and also supplement the incomes of the locals. These 100 trees are also a perfect gift for my mother who has spent a lifetime nurturing talent in the theatrical arena and has planted countless seeds of hope, creativity and joy through her work. I hope more people join me in dedicating trees and making a contribution towards creating a healthier planet."

Climate and region appropriate species like Amla (Emblica officinalis), Teak (Tectona grandis), Guava (Psidium guajava) and Ber (Ziziphus mauritiana) have been chosen for this project.
