Netflix India Dubbed 'Dishonest & Corrupt' By Anurag Kashyap After Watching Adolescence, Here's WHY

Anurag Kashyap Calls Out Netflix India: Netflix's new crime series Adolescence has received massive acclaim from the audience. Fans have been left speechless with the show's unique plot and its shocking end. Indian film director Anurag Kashyap also saw the show and took to Instagram to say that he was "envious and jealous" of the creators of the show for being able to create something so powerful. Following his praise of the co-created series by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, Anurag tagged Netflix India in the comments and expressed his grievances against the platform.
Anurag Kashyap Hails Cast & Crew Of Adolescence
Anurag Kashyap uploaded a screenshot of Netflix's co-chief executive officer Ted Sarandos' Instagram post where he claimed that Adolescence "defies the limits of creativity and features career defining performances." Anurag went on to praise the acting in his recently watched Netflix show Adolescence. The Indian filmmaker wrote, "The performances from the Child actor Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham, who is not just playing the father but is also the co creator of the show. The amount of hard work that has gone in the show. I can't even imagine the rehearsals and prep they did , so they could shoot every episode in a single shot ."
Anurag then went on the cinematography of Matthew Lewis and Philip Barantinini. Calling Adolescence his best watch, Anura wrote, " It's better than any film or anything I've seen." But Anurag teased his fans and Netflix India as well by saying in the end, "My grouse with @netflix_in in comments."
When you will scroll down in the comment section you will see Anurag's comment where he has called out Netflix India. Anurag wrote, "Now coming to my envy and jealousy..." He then quoted Ted Sarandos's caption saying that he has a "totally opposite shitshow" for Netflix.in. Talking about Netflix India, Anurag wrote, "If they were pitched this, most probably they would have rejected it or turned it into a 90 minute film (that too seems like an impossibility because it doesn't have an ending that is black and white)." He then went on to call Netflix India "dishonest and morally corrupt" who is backed by Ted Sarandos.
