Nirmal Kapoor Funeral Updates: In a heartbreaking moment, Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's mother Nirmal Kapoor passed away yesterday (May 2) at the age of 90 due to age-related illness. She breathed her last on Friday at around 5:45 PM at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Later in the evening, the 'Fighter' actor brought his late mom's mortal remains home. A heartbreaking video went viral on the internet in which an emotional Anil Kapoor was seen carrying mom Nirmal Kapoor's mortal remaining while sitting inside an ambulance with Arjun and Sanjay.

Shanaya's besties Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan alongside Rani Mukerji, Javed Akhtar, Raveena Tandon, Khushi Kapoor's rumoured bf Vedang Raina, Janhvi Kapoor's beau Shikhar Paharaiya, Veer Pahariya and Orry among others paid a visit to late Nirmal Kapoor's residence to offer condolences.

On Saturday morning (May 3), late Nirmal Kapoor's eldest son and noted producer Boney Kapoor issued an official statement on her demise. The official statement read, "Passed away peacefully on the 2nd of May, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She lived a full and joyful life, leaving behind four devoted children, loving daughters-in-law, a caring son-in-law, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of treasured memories. Her generous spirit and boundless love touched all who knew her. She will remain in our hearts-forever cherished, and forever missed. Boney, Anil, Reena, Sanjay, Sunita, Sandeep, Maheep, Mohit, Akshay, Sonam, Arjun, Rhea, Harshvarrdhan, Anshula, Janhvi, Shanaya, Khushi, Jahaan, Antara, Anand, Aashita, Karan Thea, Vayu, Ayra, Yuvaan. (sic)"

As per media reports, the funeral of late Nirmal Kapoor will take place today (Saturday) at 11:30 AM at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai's Vile Parle.

Nirmal Kapoor's grandchildren Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, and Sonam Kapoor among others have arrived for the antim darshan.

Devastated Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor along with his wife Maheep Kapoor among others were spotted reaching the residence for the last rites.

For those unversed, late Nirmal Kapoor was married to the renowned producer Surinder Kapoor. She is survived by her 4 children, Anil, Reena, Boney and Sanjay, and her grandkids.
