Nirmal Kapoor Funeral Date & Time: Anil Kapoor's mother Nirmal Kapoor is no more with us. The news has come as a shock and has sent a wave of grief across the industry. According to media reports, Anil Kapoor's mother wasn't keeping well for a while and was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Hospital wherein she was undergoing a medical treatment. The media reports suggested that Nirmal Kapoor died of age related issues at the hospital. She was 90. The news was confirmed by Dr Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director of Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. He stated, "Nirmal Kapoor passed away peacefully at the hospital around 5.25 pm today."

Ever since the news has surfaced, Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shikhar Pahariya and others were seen arriving at the hospital. In fact, Shikhar was seen consoling a visibly emotional Janhvi at the hospital during this difficulat time. To note, Nirmal Kapoor is survived by sons Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and daughter Reena Kapoor. Besides, she was also the grandmother of several celebrities, including Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Mohit Marwah.

It is undoubtedly a difficult time for the Kapoors. Meanwhile, it is reported that Nirmal Kapoor's funeral is likely to take place on May 3 at 11:30am at Pawan Hans Crematorium

To note, Nirmal Kapoor had celebrated her 90th birthday in September 2024. Anil Kapoor had shared several pics with her on social media including his childhood pics and a family pic from one of the celebrations. Anil had captioned the post as, "90 years of love, strength, and endless sacrifices. Your presence fills our lives with joy and positivity every day. Blessed to be your child. Happy birthday, Mummy!"
