Shahid Kapoor Confesses About Being Made To Feel 'Lesser' As A Star Before Kabir Singh
Shahid Kapoor, who is currently gearing up for the release of his next 'Deva', recently recalled a moment when he was made to feel 'lesser' as a star before Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Kabir Singh'. While the actor didn't take any name, netizens were quick enough to decode that the actor was talking about his experience from 'Padmaavat'.
During a podcast with Raj Shamani, Shahid Kapoor can be seen confessing, "Ye Kabir Singh ke pehle mere saath hua tha. Mere andar jo kuch tha, mujhe laga ke I am lesser. Mujhe aisa mehsoos karaya gaya. Kisi ne zabardasti nahi ki. As an artist, as a star, as an individual. Mujhe aisa situation mein dala gaya ke mujhe aisa feel ho ke main kam hoon. Aur yeh main kabhi accept nahi karunga. It's like your clothes are better than mine. It's a comparative. Sometimes life puts you in a situation where it plays out in a way where somebody is... you're in enclosed proximity and you're made to feel lesser. It's nobody's fault, I'm not getting into that. But that is what I went through for some time. And I was made to feel like that. And I fought it. (sic)"
For those uninitiated, Shahid had once talked about feeling like an 'outsider' on the sets of Bhansali's 'Padmaavat'.
Was Shahid Kapoor Insulted On Padmaavat Sets?
Soon after Shahid's latest confession went viral on the internet, a netizen made a shocking revelation about the actor being insulted on Padmaavat sets. Reacting to the video, a user - who claimed to be working on the film - commented, "True man really, i was working on Padmaavat, Ranveer was on their peak time, and Shahid was in down time, Ranveer avoiding secondary shots, dup was, dup was taking care those shots, and Shahid, giving all the shots if he said something, the director was not listening and he insults shahid. Time matters. (sic)"
Padmaavat Re-Release Date
Last week, Padmaavat completed 7 years of its release. After changing the re-release date a couple of times, the makers revealed that the movie will be releasing once again on big screens on 6th February 2025.
