Pakistani Actress Mahira Khan’s Cheeky ‘Ranbir Kapoor’ Dialogue In Love Guru Sets Reddit On Fire
Mahira Khan's dialogue in Love Guru, referencing Ranbir Kapoor, has triggered social media discussions and brought back memories of past controversies, impacting her career amid political tensions.

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has once again become a hot topic online due to a scene from her recent film, Love Guru. In this scene, Mahira shares the screen with co-star Ramsha Khan and delivers a line that has captured the internet's attention. The dialogue, "Oh, this means he hasn't met a girl yet who can bring his inner Ranbir Kapoor out," has sparked discussions on social media.
The reference to Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor in Mahira's dialogue has particularly intrigued audiences, given her past rumours with him. A photo of this scene was shared on Reddit (click HERE), causing quite a stir. One user commented on the post, "Bhai is inevitable. I can only compare him to Rajeev Shukla in terms of visibility."
Social Media Reactions
Another user questioned the meaning behind the line, asking, "What does this mean. Inner Ranbir Kapoor kya hota hai?" In response, someone replied with "Animal," alluding to Ranbir's film and character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial work. Despite its popularity online, The Free Press Journal couldn't confirm the authenticity of the photo shared on Reddit.
Back in 2017, photos of Mahira and Ranbir smoking together in New York had gone viral, leading to widespread speculation about their relationship. These images caused controversy in both Pakistan and India. That same year, they were also seen posing together at an awards event in Dubai, further fuelling rumours.
Past Controversies Resurface
In a 2024 interview with BBC Asian Network, Mahira opened up about how that period affected her emotionally. She admitted feeling shaken and worried for her career after the media frenzy surrounding those photos. "When the photos came out, there was an article called The Little White Dress published by BBC," she recalled.
"I remember reading it and thinking, 'Is my career over?'" Mahira shared candidly. She described that time as very tough and revealed how it impacted both her professional and personal life. "I wouldn't get out of bed; I was crying daily," she added.
Impact on Career
The actress further revealed that the article stated: "Here is a woman who has achieved this kind of success that no one in Pakistan has achieved… and now it is all gone." Reflecting on this statement made her think, "Damn." The resurfacing of her connection to Ranbir through Love Guru comes amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.
Following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government has banned Pakistani celebrities from working in Indian films. Additionally, their Instagram accounts are currently inaccessible within India. This political climate adds another layer to Mahira's current situation as she navigates her career amidst these challenges.
