Earlier, Palash Muchhal's mother Amita had reacted to Palash's decision of cancelling the wedding and stated that he has been quite close to Smriti's father Srinivas and chose not to go ahead with the wedding after Srinivas Mandhana's health deteriorated. "Palash ko uncle se bahut zyada attachment hai... Smriti se zyada yeh dono close hain... Palash ne decision liya ke usko abhi phere nahi karne jab tak uncle theek nahi ho jaate," she added.
