Bollywood veteran Prem Chopra has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. His son-in-law, actor Vikas Bhalla, clarified that the hospitalisation is a precautionary step. "He is doing fine and should be discharged in a couple of days," Bhalla stated. He further added, "It's all age-related, and a regular procedure. There is nothing to worry."

Prem Chopra's career in Bollywood spans over six decades with more than 380 films to his credit. Born in 1935 in Lahore, British India, he is renowned for his roles as an iconic villain. Despite being known for negative roles, Chopra has also portrayed positive and character roles.

Family Ties and Personal Life

Chopra's family has strong ties within the film industry. He is the brother-in-law of actors Prem Nath and Rajendra Nath. Additionally, he shares a familial connection with legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor, as Kapoor's wife is Chopra's sister-in-law.

In his personal life, Chopra married Uma Malhotra in 1969. The couple has three daughters: Rakita, Prerna, and Punita. His family extends into the film industry through his sons-in-law, actors Sharman Joshi and Vikas Bhalla.
