In a message to Hindustan Times, Raj detailed the incident. He had reserved a table at the restaurant a year in advance for Shilpa's birthday celebration. Upon arrival, they discovered their table had been given away due to an alleged double booking error by the same agent. This left them without a place to sit.

Restaurant Mismanagement

The situation escalated when Raj and his family expressed their concerns about the mix-up. They were told to remain quiet, which added to their frustration. Raj found this particularly upsetting as he has experience running restaurants himself. The lack of accountability from the management was disappointing, especially with elderly family members and 20 guests waiting.

Raj stated, "After a year of planning, the lack of accountability or even basic courtesy from the restaurant management was extremely disheartening." He hoped his explanation would clarify the situation for those who misunderstood it based on the viral video.

Video Misinterpretation

The video in question was shared by a young Instagram user who claimed that Shilpa's group was arguing with a 'young foreigner' over being too loud. Although Shilpa and her family were not clearly visible in the clip, Shamita Shetty's voice seemed present, saying, "Don't talk to us, we don't want to hear you." The video's authenticity remained uncertain until Raj provided his account.
