Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: The brutal murder of 29-year-old Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya has sent shockwaves across the country. As details of the crime continue to unfold, several public figures have begun expressing their outrage - including Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold and unfiltered opinions.

In a recent Instagram Story, Kangana Ranaut slammed Sonam, Raja's newlywed wife and the prime suspect in the case. Deeply disturbed by the revelations, the National-award-winning actress questioned Sonam's twisted mindset, expressing disbelief over how someone who couldn't muster the courage to reject a marriage could go so far as to plot a cold-blooded murder.

The actress called Sonam "dumb" and warned society about such individuals, saying that the greatest threat often comes not from the intelligent but from the unaware-people who act without understanding the consequences.

She wrote, "How absurd is this!! Woman can't say no to marriage because she is scared of her own parents but she can plan a cold blooded murder with supari killers this has been on my mind since morning but not able to wrap my head around it !!! Uuffff getting a headache now!! She couldn't even divorce or run away with her lover. How cruel, heinous and above all absurd and dumb. Dumb people should never be taken lightly they are the biggest threat to any society... we often laugh at them and think they are harmless but it's not true, intelligent people may damage others for their own good but remember a dumb person has no idea what they are doing !!! Be aware very aware of dumbness around you."

HOW RAJA RAGHUVANSHI WAS KILLED? WHO ARE THE ACCUSED?

The case itself is as horrifying as it is tragic. Raja Raghuvanshi, a native of Madhya Pradesh, was reported missing along with Sonam on May 23, 2025, during their honeymoon trip to the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya.

After an extensive search, Raja's body was discovered on June 2, lying in a deep gorge near the Weisawdong waterfalls. Investigators later confirmed a sinister murder plot involving Sonam, her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, and two contract killers.

Sonam was tracked down and arrested from a dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, after being on the run for 17 days. She initially confessed to planning the murder but later retracted, claiming she had been kidnapped. However, during further interrogation and after seeing her lover on a video call, she reportedly broke down and confessed again.

Further adding to the emotional weight of the case, a video from Raja's funeral recently surfaced, showing Raj Kushwaha consoling Sonam's father. Raja's sister and mother expressed deep shock over unfamiliar faces present at the funeral, especially Kushwaha-whom they had never seen before.

As the investigation continues, Kangana's strong reaction reflects the growing public demand for justice in a case that has left the nation outraged.
