Just days after the tragic Air India flight crash from Ahmedabad to London, actress Raveena Tandon shared a series of photos on Instagram showing herself boarding an Air India plane. She flaunted her Air India boarding pass and wrote in the caption, "New Beginnings ... to rise and fly again against all odds ... to pick up and start all over , new resolve towards greater strength." Raveena added, "The atmosphere solemn and the crews welcoming smiles, tinted with sadness. The Silent passengers and crew bonding with unspoken condolences and subtle confidence."

Calling the recent crash a "wound" that will never heal, Raveena tried whitewashing Air India by saying, "Godspeed always @airindia . Fearless and a will To overcome and be strong again. ♥️ Jai Hind."

Raveena's post sparked controversy and a user took to a Reddit thread with title "This is just so not right!" The user called out the actress saying, "I get it she got the money but she could have waited atleast for some time. Putting up a air india promotion post just right after 4 days of such a horrific crash is just so tone deaf." Seeing this, one called out actress, "How can people be so out of touch with reality!!!!!!!!! Giving the final salute to the pilot of Air India (Ahmedabad to London) plane, the official handle of Air India took tweted, "A Final Salute to Captain Sabharwal. On the day when the accident happened, Air India mourned for the passengers' lives that lost. They tweeted, "Air India remains in mourning on the tragic loss of 241 passengers and crew members aboard flight AI171. Our hearts are with the families, loved ones, and communities affected by the accident." Every mourning family was assigned one caregiver by the Air India team. As per the reports, the mourning families will get Rs. 1 crores/person and an interim amount of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

As per the reports, only one person miraculously survived. The survivor of the plane crash is named Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. A video of him walking out amid the fatal crash went viral on social media. In the video, we could see him walking away of the accident site as the huge fumes blew in the background.
