Resham Tipnis Blasts Fake News On 14-Year-Old Son Manav’s Suicide: Whoever Did This Is Going Behind Bars

Resham Tipnis, an actress known for her roles in Hindi films such as Baazigar and Jai Ho, recently addressed false reports about her son Manav's alleged suicide. The rumours incorrectly stated that Manav, aged 14, had jumped from a building in Mumbai's Kandivali area after a disagreement over tuition attendance. Some social media users even mistakenly identified the deceased as Resham's son.

Reacting to these baseless claims, Resham took to Instagram to clarify the situation. She wrote, "Please ignore this somebody is spreading fake news abt my son Manav he is fine and healthy by Bappa's blessings but who ever has done this is going behind bars if anyone can help me finding them pls comment." Her post aimed to dispel the misinformation and seek assistance in identifying those responsible for spreading it.

Social Media Misinformation

The confusion began with a post by the Instagram page Laughing Colours, which wrongly identified Manav as the boy who had died by suicide. In response to this misinformation, Resham urged people to report the account. She stated, "Please everyone, mass report this account so that Instagram will take action against them. His handle is @laughingcolours. He has now deleted the post, but please report it anyway."

An official from Kandivali police station provided details about the actual incident. The officer explained that a Class 9 student had an argument with his mother over attending tuition on Wednesday. Reluctant to go, the boy left home at 6 pm and tragically jumped from a few floors down to his death. A resident alerted his mother about the incident.

Police Investigation

The police are currently investigating the exact floor from which the boy jumped. They have registered an accidental death report and are continuing their probe into the matter. As of now, no foul play is suspected in this unfortunate event.

Resham Tipnis was married to actor Sanjeev Seth in 1993 when she was 20 years old; however, they divorced in 2004. Together they have two children: Manav and Rishika.
