According to reports, Rohit's family grew concerned when they lost contact with him after he left around 12:30 PM. Hours later, they received devastating news that Rohit had met with an accident. Although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.

In a shocking twist, Rohit's family has now alleged foul play. They revealed that he had been embroiled in a parking dispute with three individuals - Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore - who had allegedly issued death threats against him. An Odisha Bytes quoted a police officer saying, "An autopsy was performed at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Monday. Multiple injuries were discovered on the body, including wounds on his head, face, and other parts. We are investigating the case, but the four accused are on the run."
