Saif Ali Khan Discharged From Hospital: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai residence on Thursday, January 16, during an attempted robbery. The actor was stabbed six times but fortunately survived the ordeal. After the attack, Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for immediate medical attention. Recent reports confirm that he has now been discharged from the hospital. Here's an update on Saif Ali Khan's health status.

Saif Ali Khan Discharged From Hospital After Two Surgeries

Saif Ali Khan underwent two critical surgeries, neurosurgery and plastic surgery, after the attack at his house. After the metal part of the knife was removed near his spine area, the Lilavati hospital doctors declared Saif out of danger. As per Indian Express reports, he has been discharged from the hospital. As per the reports, the 54-year-old is yet to exit the hospital as his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and mother Sharmila Tagore is helping him with the formalities. Earlier today, Kareena was spotted visiting the hospital.

Saif Ali Khan has been strictly advised by his doctors to be completely on bed rest for nearly a week. He also has been directed not to invite any visitors because the risk of infection is minimum. The most vital injury was reported to be done to Saif's thoracic spine, where it had barely skimmed past the spinal cord; the distance was an alarming 2 mm. Alas, the accident had caused some leakage in the spinal fluid, resulting in surgery. Furthermore, Saif went through plastic surgery on his arm and neck due to the wounds.

Police have arrested key suspect Shariful Islam Shehzad who is believed to be a Bangladeshi national who illegally entered India.
