As a result, he was hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital, where doctors successfully removed the metal fragment from his body. Describing Saif as the "real hero" Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati revealed that the knife pierced 2 mm deeper. The injury could have possibly been fatal. TOI reports Uttamani saying, "We removed a 2.5-inch piece of knife from the spine. There were two severe, two intermediate injuries and two abrasions." Saif is doing well and currently on his recovery path.
