News has just come out that Saif Ali Khan's residence experienced a burglary and that during the extreme situation, the actor was critically injured. Due to this, Saif Ali Khan needed to be transported to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital where the actor is currently undergoing a procedure. His wife and actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan, had her team put out the following statement to ease tensions for the public, "There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern."

This is not the first time, though, that Saif Ali Khan has been seriously injured and needed to be taken to the Lilavati Hospital, as when he was just 36 years old. In 2007, as he was returning from a tour in South Africa and preparing to receive an award at the Stardust Awards when all of a sudden he experienced a heart attack. The incident occurred at around 5:00 PM on that day, during which the actor expressed that he felt severe amounts of chest pain, after which he was quickly rushed to the Lilavati Hospital.

While his health was in serious danger during the attack, it was quickly resolved once he reached the hospital, with the medical reports at the time saying that his condition was both stable and recovering. Still, Dr. N. Trivedi, the dean of the hospital at the time, stated that the actor was to stay in the hospital for a few more days so that more checks could be done to ensure an incident like this was to not happen again.

Saif Ali Khan's sister, Soha Ali Khan, had made some comments about the incident at the time, stating that her brother had experienced the heart attack due to overworking and the general high pressure from his acting career. Since then, however, the actor has taken great care of his physical and mental health, so despite this burglary incident, the actor will most probably recover quickly and bounce back on his feet.
