Saif Ali Khan's House Staff Make Statement To Mumbai Police About Burglary Incident

Earlier today, on the late night of January 16th, Saif Ali Khan's residence was invaded by a thief and a burglary ensued. The thief was caught by one of the house staff and during an altercation between the two, Saif Ali Khan was seriously injured, to the point that he needed to be taken to the nearby hospital.
The house staff in question was able to give a statement to the Mumbai Police Department.
She told them that when Saif Ali Khan heard the staff member's screams, he called up the police and then tried to break up the altercation between her and the thief. It was during the fight that Saif Ali Khan got 6 injuries, including two deep ones, one which was unnerving close to his spine. His condition became critical once he was attacked, and it was because of his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan's help that the actor was able to reach the hospital in time to undergo surgery.
The house staff also stated that during the altercation, she also sustained a minor injury to her hand and was admitted to the hospital, but was discharged after her wound was treated.
Saif Ali Khan still remains at the hospital. One of the doctors there stated that, "Saif Ali Khan has been shifted to the ICU for one-day observation. We'll decide the next step after that tomorrow. Right now he's doing absolutely fine." The actor's team also made a public statement, saying, "Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital.
