Right before the incident, Kareena shared a story on her Instagram where she shared a party pic with her girlies. The original story was shared by Karisma Kapoor, her sister, who shared a picture of cocktail glasses in a warm cozy home environment. Sharing the picture, Karisma wrote, 'Girls Night In,' she also tagged Rhea Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor along with Kareena which started speculation that the all four were partying last night before the incident happened at around 4 am. However, with her picture, it is not clear whether it is Kareena's home or anyone else's.

The burglary incident took place early in the morning on January 16 when Saif woke up after hearing suspicious noise at his home. He was stabbed multiple times while stopping the robbery. Later, he was taken to the Lilavati hospital where he underwent a surgery. According to the current reports, he is out of danger at the moment.
