Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case Latest Updates: It's been more than a week since the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan happened, which had left the entire nation shocked. An intruder barged in to Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan's Bandra residence and stabbed the Race actor 'six times' during a burglary attempt. During the investigation, the Mumbai Police arrested a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national named Shareeful Islam Mohammed Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir alias Vijay Das.

Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Fingerprints not Matching With The Arrested Bangladeshi Accused?

While the attacker's custody has been extended till January 29, new reports claiming Bangladeshi man's fingerprints not matching with those collected from the crime scene in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. However, the Mumbai police have supposedly dismissed the viral claims. As reported by Free Press Journal, the Satyanarayan Chaudhary, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) stated that the fingerprint discrepancy reports are "not true."

According to ETimes, Dixit Gedam, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-9, denied the ongoing claims and was quoted saying, "The fingerprint report is yet to come. (sic)"

When asked about the report of fingerprints not matching with the arrested accused, a CID officer told the daily, "The case is being investigated by the Mumbai police, and you must check with them. The report has been sent to the Mumbai police forensic lab. (sic)"

Saif Ali Khan Attack Case: More Than One Person Likely To Be Involved

According to PTI, the Mumbai police are suspecting more than one person's involvement in the Saif Ali Khan case. On Sunday (Jan 26), a team of the Mumbai Police went to West Bengal for further investigation. Reportedly, they are looking for a person named Khukmoni Jahangir Sheikh, who allegedly provided Shareeful with a SIM card. As per reports, the Bangladeshi accused was apparently staying in Kolkata after illegally trespassing into India from Bangladesh.
