Salman Khan Attack Case: Bombay High Court Grants Bail To Two Accused; Deets Inside
The Bombay High Court has granted bail to two individuals implicated in a conspiracy to assassinate Salman Khan due to insufficient evidence. Khan has increased security measures while continuing his professional commitments.

In an unexpected development, the Bombay High Court has allowed bail for two individuals implicated in a scheme to assassinate Bollywood icon Salman Khan. This decision came after an investigation linked them to a conspiracy unearthed following a shooting incident outside Khan's residence in Mumbai in April 2024. Reports suggest that these men were part of a plot orchestrated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to kill Salman Khan near his Panvel farmhouse.
Due to a lack of concrete evidence, Vaspi Mehmud Khan, known as Wasim Chikna, and Gaurav Vinod Bhatia, also known as Sandeep Bishnoi, were released on bail on February 6, 2025. The judiciary pointed out that their only connection to the alleged assassination plan was their participation in a WhatsApp group where the plot was discussed. The court remarked, "Except this, no recovery of incriminating material has been found against them. Even the WhatsApp chats are vague." The defense highlighted that their clients were wrongfully accused, emphasizing that one of their co-accused, Deepak Gogoi, had already been granted bail in 2024. They argued that Vaspi and Gaurav had no ties to the Bishnoi gang or the conspiracy.
Justice NR Borkar's bench granted the bail, stirring various reactions. Following these events, Salman Khan has been seen with heightened security measures. The actor's Mumbai residence, Galaxy Apartment, has been fortified to ensure his and his family's safety. Despite these threats, Khan continues to make public appearances, recently seen at the Loveyapa film screening alongside Aamir Khan.
Salman Khan's Continued Endeavors Amidst Security Concerns
On the professional front, Salman Khan remains active, currently involved in the making of his forthcoming film, Sikandar. This action thriller, anticipated to release on Eid 2025, marks Khan's first project with Rashmika Mandanna. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also features Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi in significant roles. Last year, the official teaser was unveiled, showcasing Salman Khan in a dynamic action role, generating excitement among fans.
The accusation and subsequent bail of the two men have shed light on the dangers faced by public figures and the complexities of legal proceedings in high-profile cases. As Salman Khan navigates these challenges, he continues to engage with his work and public appearances, demonstrating resilience amidst adversity. This incident has also sparked discussions on the security of celebrities and the impact of such threats on their personal and professional lives.
