Directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, including the entire cast and crew of the 2016 musical romantic-dram of Sanam Teri Kasam, have all the reasons to be on cloud nine. After 9 years of its original release, the Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane starrer made its way back on big screens on 7th February 2025. Ever since the re-release, the film has been breaking all box office records (re-release) and rightfully so!

As Sanam Teri Kasam is on its way to become the highest-grossing Hindi film post re-release, the director duo - Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru - exclusively sat down with 'A se Aadii' from Filmibeat and shared some behind-the-camera interesting stories about Sanam Teri Kasam.

During the interview, the directors revealed that it was actually Himesh Reshammiya who had suggested the title 'Sanam Teri Kasam'. For those unversed, Himesh was the music composer of the film, the man behind the chartbuster songs of Sanam Teri Kasam.

The director duo also revealed that almost 500-600 girls across the world had auditioned for Mawra Hocane's role in the film. Yes, they had rejected over 500 girls globally before casting the Pakistani actress as Harshvardhan's leading lady. Talking about the film, they further revealed that the story of their film was inspired by shiv puran.

Amid the re-release success of Sanam Teri Kasam, fans have been eagerly waiting for its part 2. Without revealing much details, Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru shared that the casting for Sanam Teri Kasam is almost locked.
