Sanya Sagar Exclusive!

You've shared in the past that your marriage to Prateik Babbar was influenced by family pressure. Looking back, how do you feel about that? Would you have handled things differently at this point in your life?

Talking about her marriage and divorce with Prateik Babbar Sanya said to Filmibeat, "It's called life! What's meant to be will be. We end up doing things as they're destined, and they happen one way or another. There's nothing I'd change or do differently because it was all meant to take place." She added, "Societal pressure or not, decisions are personal, and they differ from person to person. My idea of marriage has always been different, but I'm glad I experienced it nonetheless. I'm very proud of the choices I've made in the past, and I'm sure what comes next will be impeccable, too."

If the opportunity arose, would you be open to collaborating with your ex in a professional capacity?

Sanya believed "work is work" therefore she does not think mixing personal life and professional life together is a good thing to do. The actress said, "Did you say collaboration? Well, who "collaborates" these days? We work for money, so if there's money involved, why not?"

The entertainment industry often places a great deal of focus on external validation. How do you remain grounded and focused on your craft amidst these pressures?

Sanya said, "Oh, I need external validation all the time." Talking about what she needs, Sanya said, "I'm always asking for feedback, and it's been that way since my NIFT designing college days. People are different-some need it, some don't. I certainly do."

With the public spotlight often on your personal life, how do you manage to maintain your privacy?

Speaking about her current life situation, Sanya said, "I live far away in the jungle. Like I said, I love the craft more than the jazz around it. I love acting, writing, and storytelling, and I need quiet and peace to focus on my skill. I've lived in cities like London and Mumbai, but I've now found my peace in the village life. I cook my own food, far away from capitalism by choice, and it keeps me grounded. I love being surrounded by nature and wildlife. I only travel to cities for work. Otherwise, I'm tucked away in the comfort of my home, in the middle of nowhere."

What can your fans expect next from you?

"Yes! I worked on an exciting sports drama called Tairaaki, which should release this year-fingers crossed!" said Sanya. Talking about her another endeavor Sanya spoke, "I also did an international film, A Mosquito in the Ear, with a Hollywood production. It's currently making the rounds at international festivals and should eventually be on TV.
I hope people enjoy what I do, and I hope to keep getting opportunities to showcase strong characters that bring creativity and potential for change."
