Sardar Ji 3 Controversy: Despite the ongoing controversy over his collaboration with Hania Aamir, Diljit Dosanjh is actively promoting his film Sardaar Ji 3 on a global scale. The backlash stems from tensions between India and Pakistan following recent events, yet Diljit remains focused on his work. He recently shared a cryptic message on social media about censoring projects before their release.

On Instagram, Diljit re-shared a post titled "Censored before release?" This post refers to his earlier film Panjab 95, which faced delays due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film's director and Diljit stood firm against the 127 cuts suggested by the CBFC. Despite these challenges, he continues to promote Sardaar Ji 3 internationally.

Panjab 95: A Story of Justice

Panjab 95 delves into the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. It highlights his quest for justice during Punjab's turbulent militancy era. Khalra investigated human rights violations and the mass cremation of unidentified bodies in Punjab between 1984 and 1994. In 1995, he disappeared under mysterious circumstances. A decade later, four police officers were arrested for his alleged abduction and murder.

The movie was directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies. Although it was scheduled for a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023, it was removed from the line-up without explanation from organisers. The film remains unreleased in India due to its troubles with the CBFC.

Sardaar Ji 3: A New Adventure

Diljit recently shared the trailer for Sardaar Ji 3 on Instagram, revealing Hania Aamir's role as a ghost hunter alongside him. Set in the United Kingdom, this horror-comedy features both Hania and Neeru Bajwa romancing Diljit's character as they tackle supernatural challenges. Directed by Amar Hundal, the film also stars Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, Jasmin Bajwa, Sapna Pabbi, among others.

The first Sardaar Ji movie was released in 2015 under Rohit Jugraj's direction and featured Mandy Takhar and Neeru Bajwa. Its sequel followed in 2016 with similar success. However, Sardaar Ji 3 is expected to skip an Indian theatrical release and will instead premiere overseas on June 27.

Amidst these developments, Diljit's previous film Panjab 95 remains a topic of discussion due to its sensitive subject matter and censorship issues. His commitment to promoting Sardaar Ji 3 shows his determination to move forward despite controversies surrounding his collaborations.
