Sardar Ji 3 In Trouble: BJP Film Body Seeks Ban Over Pakistani Cast, Urges CBFC to Deny Certification

Sardar Ji 3, featuring Diljit Dosanjh, has become controversial due to calls for a ban from the BJP Chitrapat Kamgar Union over Pakistani actors' involvement. Political tensions surrounding cross-border collaborations are highlighted.

Sardar Ji 3 Controversy: The upcoming film, Sardar Ji 3, starring Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2025. However, the movie faces controversy as the BJP Chitrapat Kamgar Aghaadi calls for a ban. Their demand stems from the inclusion of Pakistani actors Hania Aamir, Nasir Chinyoti, Daniel Khawar, and Saleem Albela in the film.

Controversy Surrounding Pakistani Actors

The call for a ban follows anti-India remarks made by some Pakistani personalities on social media. These comments were in response to India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, which was a retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that resulted in 26 casualties. The Union expressed their stance through IANS: "We strongly oppose any Pakistani artiste being associated with Indian cinema."

They further stated, "It is the demand of the BJP Chitrapat Kamgar Union that Sardar Ji 3 should not be allowed to receive a censor certificate. This is not just a political issue—it is about national sentiment and the dignity of our country." The Union also urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to deny the film a censor certificate and prevent its release across India.

Diljit Dosanjh's Social Media Activity

Recently, Diljit Dosanjh shared behind-the-scenes photos from Sardar Ji 3's sets on his social media account. While Neeru Bajwa was prominently featured, fans noticed Hania Aamir in the background. This observation came amid earlier reports suggesting Hania might be replaced following the Pahalgam attack.

In one image, fans spotted Hania standing behind Neeru Bajwa with only her short hair and eyes visible. Another photo showed Diljit posing with a woman in a black saree, believed by some to be Hania. Additionally, fans speculated that her face appeared on Diljit's T-shirt.

Clarification from Diljit Dosanjh

On June 9, Diljit addressed these speculations. He clarified that his T-shirt did not feature Hania but instead Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh. He shared an Instagram story showing the full image on his T-shirt without adding any caption.

The Lover singer has yet to comment on the demand for banning Sardar Ji 3. As tensions rise over cross-border collaborations in cinema, this situation highlights ongoing challenges faced by filmmakers navigating political sensitivities.
