Director Deepak Kumar Mishra has firmly denied rumours of his departure from the film Vvan, stating that collaboration with Sidharth Malhotra is strong. Despite ongoing speculation about creative disagreements, both remain committed to the project, which has faced scheduling changes and cast adjustments.
Rumours have been circulating about Sidharth Malhotra upcoming film, V, suggesting that director Deepak Kumar Mishra might have left the project due to creative disagreements. However, these claims have been firmly denied by Deepak himself.
Deepak Kumar Mishra has clarified that there are no creative differences between him and Sidharth Malhotra. He stated, "I don't have any such information. Nothing has happened. This is out of the blue. I just want to state that nothing has happened. Sidharth and I are very strong. We are jamming so well and working hard on the film. It is 100 per cent false."
Vvan's Production Journey
The mythological supernatural thriller, Vvan, is set in India's heartlands and has been a topic of much discussion. Earlier reports suggested Deepak was removed from the project due to disagreements with Sidharth over the film's creative direction.
Despite Deepak's denial, some sources like PeepingMoon continue to claim otherwise. They allege that the disagreements began during planning and intensified during pre-production meetings, leading to speculation about Deepak's departure.
Changes in Cast and Schedule
The first filming schedule for Vvan wrapped up in June, with the next phase slated for August. Initially planned for an earlier start this year, filming was delayed due to scheduling conflicts involving Sidharth Malhotra and Sara Ali Khan's exit from talks for the female lead role.
Eventually, Tamannaah Bhatia joined the cast, prompting a shift in the release date from Chhath Puja 2025 to May 15, 2026. The film is a joint production by TVF and Balaji Motion Pictures.
Sidharth Malhotra's Upcoming Projects
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is preparing for his next release, Param Sundari, alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The movie is scheduled for a July 25 release and will compete at the box office with Son of Sardaar 2.
For now, Deepak Kumar Mishra remains officially attached to Vvan despite ongoing rumours about his exit over creative differences with Sidharth Malhotra.
