In a serendipitous turn of events, Shariva Parulkar, an intern in Aamir Khan's marketing team, found her voice featured in the film's enchanting track "Sar Aankhon Pe Mere." Originally stepping in as a temporary vocalist for the song's scratch version in Chennai, Parulkar's performance unexpectedly became the final cut. Aamir Khan and the film's director, R.S. Prasanna, were so impressed by her rendition that they decided her voice was perfect for the song, thus launching her singing career alongside the celebrated Arijit Singh.

This decision led to "Sar Aankhon Pe Mere" marking Shariva Parulkar's debut as a playback singer, an opportunity that emerged from her internship with Aamir Khan during the production of "Laal Singh Chaddha" and "Sitaare Zameen Par."
