After the box office failure of Laal Singh Chaddha, all eyes are on this spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. The film features Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in the main role.

In Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan steps back into the spotlight with a film that's more about emotions than just sports. The movie highlights how a man changes when he's pushed out of his comfort zone and learns to see life from a new perspective.

The story follows Gulshan Arora, a basketball coach played by Aamir Khan, who is sentenced to community service after being caught driving under the influence. His punishment? He must coach a team of neurodivergent individuals for a basketball tournament.

At first, Gulshan finds it hard to connect with the players. He doesn't understand their behavior or how to guide them. But slowly, through shared experiences and emotional moments, he begins to build real relationships with them. In the process, they help him grow just as much as he helps them.

Genelia Deshmukh plays an important role in the film, adding depth to the story. The cast also introduces 10 fresh faces-Aroush Datta, Ayush Bhansali, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Ashish Pendse, Vedant Sharma, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar-who make the characters feel real and relatable.

Amid the excitement for Sitaare Zameen Par, Filmibeat got in touch with trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal who talked about the film's budget and box office target. Talking about the film's budget, Rohit Jaiswal told us, "Excluding Aamir Khan (fee), the budget is approximately Rs 90 crore."

Talking about the box office target for Sitaare Zameen Par, Rohit Jaiswal stated, "Considering the budget, film needs to each between Rs 130-150 crore to be considered a hit. However, given that Sitaare Zameen Par is a solo Aamir Khan release, backed by a 3200-screen wide release and positioned as an entertaining mainstream film, it will need to cross at least Rs 200 crore at the box office to truly be seen as a success."

As per his prediction, the Aamir Khan starrer is likely to mint Rs 8.60 crores on the opening day (June 20).
