The much-anticipated teaser for the Malayalam action thriller L2: Empuraan has finally been released, generating immense excitement among movie enthusiasts. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film serves as both a sequel and prequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer and is the second installment in a planned trilogy. The project is being jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions, with the latter marking its debut in the Malayalam film industry. The teaser launch event, held on January 26, 2025, at Le Méridien, Kochi, was a grand affair. It coincided with Aashirvad Cinemas' celebration of 25 years in the film industry, making the occasion even more significant. The event was attended by Mohanlal, Mammootty, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Murali Gopy, Basil Joseph, Manoj K. Jayan, Joshiy, Sathyan Anthikad, and others.

According to Sacnilk, the total overseas collection of Sky Force stands at Rs 5 crores on the second day (First Saturday) and the worldwide collection of the action drama turns out to be Rs 46 crores. Given the ongoing trend, Sky Force is likely to cross an overseas collection of Rs 10 crores today (day 3/ first Sunday) and the total worldwide collection of the movie is likely to touch Rs 70 crores during the opening weekend.
