EXCLUSIVE! Snehdeep Singh Kalsi On Inspiration Behind Pyaar Ki Talaash, PM Modi's Shoutout & More

It's like a dream come true for any singer to witness their debut track receiving love from the audience. Gujarat's very own Snehdeep Singh Kalsi had a roller coaster ride when he started his journey as an artist. From doing renditions to launching his debut track, the singer has come a long way. He is on cloud nine as he has signed an exclusive contract with Saregama India. And he has every reason to be.
Snehdeep grabbed eyeballs when PM Narendra Modi gave him a shoutout on social media for rendition of Kesariya in different languages. Today, he stands as a proud man as he embarks on a new chapter, showcasing his talent with the release of an original track Pyaar Ki Talaash.
Just like his name, he is full of love and respect. As journalists, we interview several celebrities, artists but only a few are able to be as honest as Snehdeep. From fondly talking about his mother to revealing the inspiration behind his debut track, the singer got candid in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat.
Pyaar Ki Talash is the perfect amalgamation of Jaz and Indie influences, showcasing the internal clash between the mind and the heart. Should we listen to our heart or act according to our mind? Snehdeep's song beautifully portrays the tug of war between the two sides.
When asked about his collaboration with Saregama India, he said, "Signing a contract with such a big label in India is simply magical. Pyaar Ki Talash is quite personal to me. I am sure that the song will reach the masses through the massive platform."
"My mother has been my first guru, teacher, who guided me. I used to perform kirtans, which played a big role in my life. It's her constant support that was instrumental in my career. I cannot thank her enough for the unwavering support," Snehdeep said as he bared his heart out about his mother's contribution.
Reacting to PM Narendra Modi's shoutout on X (earlier known as Twitter), Snehdeep stated, "I considered myself blessed to have received words of appreciation from the Prime Minister himself. It is indeed a big thing for me, as I never imagined that the PM would tweet for me, praising him for promoting local talent. I still have goosebumps thinking about the same."
On the professional front, Snehdeep Singh has four more singles lined up for release on Saregama India.
Stay tuned for the second part of the interview.
