He returned to Mumbai early on June 24 after being stuck at Dubai Airport. His flight landed around 3:45 am. The disruption was due to a sudden airspace closure in the Middle East, triggered by rising regional tensions.

Middle Eastern tensions led to significant disruptions in air travel. Iran's missile strikes on US military bases in Iraq and Qatar were retaliatory actions following attacks on its nuclear sites. This escalation prompted countries like the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar to temporarily close their airspace, impacting both commercial and passenger flights.

Flight Delays Due to Airspace Closure

Dubai, a key global travel hub, experienced numerous flight delays and disruptions. Airlines such as Emirates and flydubai halted flights to several Iranian and Iraqi cities, including Baghdad, Basra, and Tehran. Emirates announced these suspensions would remain until at least June 30.

Vineet shared his experience on Instagram while waiting at Dubai Airport. On Monday night, he posted an update saying, "I am at Dubai Airport. 9:23 pm Dubai Time. Immigration done. Waiting at the gate for my flight. Fingers crossed (sic)." His post reflected uncertainty about his flight status.

Actor's Experience Amidst Travel Chaos

The actor recounted his ordeal to News18: "We were clueless around 10:00 pm." Although his flight was set for 9:40 pm Dubai time, there was confusion initially. Eventually, boarding commenced with a slight delay in takeoff. Vineet praised Emirates Airlines and Dubai airport staff for their assistance during this period.

In another Instagram story, Vineet informed followers of his safe return to Mumbai and expressed relief at being home after the ordeal.

Travel Advisory Issued for Passengers

Dubai Airports issued a travel advisory urging passengers to verify their flight status before heading to the airport due to ongoing delays and cancellations. The advisory stated: "We strongly advise all travellers to check with their airline for the latest flight status before heading to the airport, and to allow extra time for their journey."
