It was delayed due to the legal formalities regarding his UK citizenship. For those unversed, the renowned businessman and socialite passed away last week on June 12 in London at the age of 53. He suffered a heart attack while playing a Polo match after he accidentally swallowed a bee. As per ANI, the bee sting in his throat caused the cardiac arrest, and he collapsed right there.

Previously, late Sunjay Kapur's father-in-law, Ashok Sachdev, third wife Priya Sachdev's dad, told NDTV that a post-mortem was underway and his last rites would be performed in New Delhi.

As per a new NDTV report, Sunjay Kapur's family has issued a press note regarding the details of his funeral. It has been stated that Sunjay Kapur's last rites will be performed today (Thursday) at 5 pm at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi.

Apparently, a prayer meeting will also be held on Sunday (June 22) from 4 pm and 5 pm at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi.

Back in 2017, in an interview with DNA, Karisma's father and veteran actor Randhir Kapoor had addressed the second wedding speculations of his daughter amid her alleged dating rumours with a businessman. He was quoted as saying, "I think Lolo (Karisma) is very well settled and happy. I have never discussed the issue of marriage with her but if she does plan to, she will always have my blessings. But I don't think she wants to get married. She is a happy mother and if she wants, she can get married any time but there is no step in that direction right now. She is happy the way she is. (sic)"
