Superboys Of Malegaon Exclusive: Superboys of Malegaon hit theaters on February 28, 2025, but initially went unnoticed until the audience began sharing the word. As word began to spread positively, more individuals made their way to the cinemas to see it. Reema Kagti directed Superboys of Malegaon, which was based on the 2008 documentary Supermen of Malegaon. The movie narrates the motivational tale of Nasir Shaikh and a team of amateur filmmakers who, without the money or resources to travel to Mumbai, achieved their dream of producing a film while residing in Malegaon. Filmibeat had the opportunity to talk to two superboys, Adarsh Gourav and Shashank Arora, of Superboys Of Malegaon.

What was your experience like working on Superboys of Malegaon?

Adarsh: Bhot adbhut, life-changing experience tha. Aap as an actor bas dream kr sakte ho aise situation ke liye jaha thali me paros kar aapke samne cheezein parosi jaye, kamal ki script, kama ke co-actors, dream director, dream producers, dream run with the film even before the film is released.

How Were You Casted For Superboys of Malegaon?

Shashank: Casting ki hai Nandini Shrikent. Kaise cast hue? mmmm, Reema ji ka phone aaya tha ki Shafiq ka kirdar padh le, maine padha bhot ki khubsurat script thi, Varun Grover ne likhi hai. Ye film me jo log jude hai, 500 log hain, unhe kahani batane se itna pyar hai ki aksar kavi kavi ham jab filmein banate hain to uske business m kho jate hain, but ye jo 500 log hain chahe lightman ho, chahe director ho, chahe producer ho, ye aise log th film m ki ye experience jaduyi tha.

When Shashank was asked whether Superboys Of Malegaon is such a movie which will get more fame by word of mouth, he replied, "Jin logo ki shayad jeb m paise na ho aur wo vishwas karte hai logo pe aur film dekhne aate hain apne paise le k, unko aisa kavi na lage ki unke paise waste hue. Unke aisa kavi na lage ki khali fokat manoranjan ke hame bina kuch kahani ke hall me andar bulaya..." Shashank believed if a person is spending their money on his movie Superboys Of Malegaon, they will find it worth spending. "Aap rote rote, hast haste, apne dost ke sath wapas jayenge, aapko ye nahi lagega ki hamne khali fokat aapko burger khila diya aapko aisa lagega hamne achi si machi khila di" said Shashank. Talking about his film, Shashank said, "That is what, perhaps, and that is something I see intensely in my film. This film entertains this film gives love and it doesn't cheat you."

Superboys of Malegaon is still available in theaters. The movie stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, Anuj Singh Duhan, and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. Directed and written by Reema Kagti, the movie is produced by Zoya and Farhan Akhtar.
