Thama Plot Revealed: Maddock Films shows no sign to stop after the success of its horror-comedy genre movies Stree 2, Munjya, Bhediya that broke several box office records and shaped the path of the genre in the Indian film industry. The production house is now set to include another movie in its horror-comedy universe, Thama, which was earlier named Vampires of Vijaynagar, and fans can't keep calm to watch it on the big screen later this year. Recently, the movie's plot was revealed, and trust us when we say that it is coming up with something big and something unexplored by Bollywood.
What Is The Story Behind Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna's Thama?
In a Reddit post, a screenshot was shared reported by a journalist who claimed that Ayushmann Khurrana will play a historian in the film. Not only that, but the film also explores unrequited love. Set in present-day Delhi, the movie consists of 'flashbacks' that take viewers to the ancient city of Vijaynagar where it all started.
Sharing the screenshot, the Reddit post captioned, "Ayushman will play a historian in Thama and through flashbacks they will show the ancient city of Vijaynagar and the Vampire and the early title of the movie was Vampires of Vijaynagar."
After the post went viral, fans commented under it, one wrote, "um that's a very cool idea for a plot," another one projected that in a few years the production company will leave behind Dharma Productions and YRF, "Excited for thama. Maddock is giving back to back hits and their upcoming projects are exciting they will probably leave dharma behind . Few more years and they might leave yrf behind too."

Thama will be directed by Amar Kaushik who has also directed films, produced by Maddock, like Stree 2, Stree, Bhediya, among others, and emerged to be one of the most successful directors of recent times. The movie is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan led Maddock films which has produced some of the biggest blockbusters of recent times like Chhaava, Stree 2, among others. Thama is eyeing for a release in Diwali, 2025.
