The Diplomat: Sadia Khateeb Gets Candid About Her Role In John Starrer; Says 'It Took A Toll On Me'

The Diplomat Sadia Khateeb Gets Candid About Her Role

With each performance, Sadia Khateeb continues to prove her mettle as one of Bollywood's most promising talents. After a remarkable debut in the Vidhu Vinod Chopra drama Shikara (2020) and winning hearts as Akshay Kumar's sister in the family saga Raksha Bandhan (2022), the talented actress is now set to take on another compelling role in The Diplomat. Bringing the inspiring story of Uzma Ahmed to life was no easy feat, and Sadia recently opened up about the intense experience of filming.

Reflecting on the emotional toll of her final scene, she shared in a recent interview, "When I shot the last sequence of the film, it was very challenging for me, and I did not realise it until I reached home because I felt really sick after that. Maybe it was also due to the atmosphere on set, and on top of that, the weather in Kasol and Spiti. Such things take a toll on you, but you need to give yourself a break to recover. By the time you come out of it, you realise it wasn't real, it was a dream."

She further added "I wasn't the one to realise that the last sequence had taken a toll on me; my father was the one who noticed because I had a fever and frequent headaches. He pushed me to go out and even took me to a doctor to understand why this was happening. As an actor, I feel it's not just me, every actor goes through a similar experience. This is very common because this is a job of emotions, physicality, and soul, everything you give in to your character."

With The Diplomat all set to release on 14th March 2025, fans eagerly await to see Sadia's mesmerizing transformation into Uzma Ahmed.
