How Is Aishwarya Rai's Relationship With Jaya Bachchan?
While many wonder how Bollywood's most talked about mother-in-law and daughter-in-law's relationship is, Jaya once appeared to Koffee With Karan and admitted how she thinks Aishwarya is the perfect fit for the family, "I think it's wonderful because she is such a big star herself. But when we are all together, I have never ever seen her push herself. I like that quality that she stands behind, she's quiet, she listens, and she's taking it all in. Another beautiful thing is she's fitted in so well. Not just into the family, but she knows that this is family, these are good friends, this is how one is supposed to be. I think she's a strong lady, she has a lot of dignity." she told to Karan Johar.
In the same chat show, Jaya also revealed mentioning Amitabh Bachchan and how he shares a great bond with Aishwarya, "Whenever he sees her, he becomes happy. He never saw Aishwarya as a daughter-in-law. He always saw Aishwarya as a daughter. Amitji, the minute he sees her, it's like he's looking at Shweta coming home. His eyes light up. She'll fill the vacuum that Shweta left."
In an earlier interview with Rediff, Jaya Bachchan opened up how she refers Aishwarya Rai her 'buddy', in case of differences, she said, "If I don't like something about her, I tell her on her face. I don't do politics behind her back. If she disagrees with me, she expresses herself." However, mentioning the differences, she also added, "Only difference is that I can be a little more dramatic and she has to be more respectful. I am old, you know. That's all."
She concluded by revealing what they do in their free time, "We really enjoy sitting at home and talking rubbish. Just the two of us. She doesn't have much time, but whatever she does, we enjoy. I have a great relationship with her."
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan got married in 2007 and welcomed Aaradhya in 2011. Recently, the divorce rumours of the couple were swirling in the social media, however, the couple rubbished off the same and spotted together in multiple occasions.
