Udaipur Files Early Review: Vijay Raaz is one of the most talked about and versatile actors in the industry who has won millions of hearts with his impressive acting prowess over the years. While he grabbed a lot of eyeballs with Fateh earlier this year, he is making headlines with the second release of the year. Who Is Kanhaiya Lal?

Apart from Vijay Raaz, Udaipur Files also features Rajneesh Duggal, Preeti Jhangiani, Kamlesh Sawant, Mushtaq Khan, Ehsan Khan, and Manoj Bakshi. The movie is based on a true story of Kanhaiya Lal murder case. For the uninitiated, a tailor named Kanhaiya Lal Teli was allegedly beheaded by two Islamists in Udaipur in June 2022 and video of the horrifying crime was also said to be circulated on social media. Taking to social media, actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhvi stated that Udaipur Files is a 'a hard-hitting, emotionally shattering, and brutally honest cinematic experience based on the real-life murder of Kanhaiya Lal Sahu'. He further mentioned that Udaipur Files has a runtime of 2 hours and 5 minutes and asserted, "The story grips you from the very first frame and keeps you hooked throughout. It's so intense and powerful that it literally gave me goosebumps. There are no words to express the impact this film leaves behind. Director Bharat S Shrinate deserves a salute for bringing such a courageous and necessary story to the screen. Huge respect to the entire team for their hard work and conviction".

Meanwhile, Udaipur Files faced a legal hurdle after a petition was filed to halt the release claiming that the movie had shown a one-sided picture of the events in the gruesome case. However, the Supreme Court had refused to halt the release and Udaipur Files will hit the screens on July 11.
