Earlier today, the 69-year-old playback singer came under fire after a video of him allegedly kissing his female fans on lips at one of his live concerts went viral on the internet. Now, after receiving flak over his behavior, the singer finally reacted to the incident.

On Saturday morning (February 1), veteran singer Udit Narayan sparked rage among fans online after an alleged video of him went viral on the internet. In the viral video, the 69-year-old can be seen singing 'Tip Tip Barsa Pani' at a concert when some of his female fans approached him for selfies. The clip shows Udit Narayan kissing the female fans on their cheeks first and then, on their lips.
In no time, the video went viral on Twitter and netizens started bashing the singer over his inappropriate behaviour. Netizens also dug out throwback videos of the singer in which he was alleged seen kissing Shreya Ghoshal and Alka Yagnik on their cheeks, which left both the female singers visibly surprised.
Udit Narayan Breaks Silence On Viral Kissing Video
Now, after receiving major flak over the viral kissing video, Udit Narayan boke his silence on the same. Talking to HT, the singer was quoted saying, "Fans itne deewane hote hain na. Hum log aise nahi hain, hum decent log hain. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. Udaake kya karna hai ab iss cheez ko? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans think they are getting a chance to meet, so someone extends their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands... yeh sab deewangi hoti hai. Uspe itna dhyaan nahi dena chahiye. (sic)"
He further claimed that his "family's image is such that everyone wants" a controversy to happen. The singer concluded saying, "I have been in Bollywood for 46 years now, my image hasn't been such (that I forcefully kiss fans) In fact, I fold my hands when I see the love my fans shower on me, while on stage, I bow down, thinking phir aaj ka yeh waqt laut ke aaye na aaye. (sic)"
