Reflecting on his involvement in this stirring war story, Vivan recalls his initial audition. "When I was called in for the audition, I didn't know much about the story at all," he shares. "It was during that meeting that I first heard about the Battle of Rezang La and honestly, I was taken aback. I had no idea that such an incredible chapter even existed in our history." The film's tribute to these courageous soldiers deeply resonated with him.
Vivan's Journey into Character
For Vivan, portraying Surja Ram wasn't just acting; it was a mission to embody real-life heroism. "Later, when I met Razy, our director, he told me I was a perfect fit for the character he had envisioned," Vivan reveals. This role allowed him to delve into the lives of soldiers who displayed unmatched bravery.
The actor's commitment extended beyond performance as he immersed himself in research about the battle. "The more I listened, the more I realized how important it was for this story to reach audiences," he explains. He discovered that many Ahir soldiers came from farms and faced harsh conditions they weren't accustomed to.

Vivan found himself moved by details of these soldiers' experiences. "From what I gathered, many of these Ahir boys came straight from farms. They were used to warm climates and had never experienced such extreme cold," he notes. Despite these challenges, they demonstrated remarkable resilience and courage.
The film not only highlights their heroism but also aims to rekindle national pride by bringing attention to this lesser-known chapter of history. As its release approaches, audiences can expect a powerful portrayal that honours these silent sacrifices.
