War 2 Major Update: War 2 is one of the most anticipated sequels of 2025 that has been making waves around the internet for the intriguing plot coupled with a amazing star cast featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR who boast of a large fan base. Now, according to the recent reports, there has been buzz that Alia Bhatt is set to join the cast of YRF films. While it was earlier reported that Hrithik Roshan will be the part of Alia Bhatt's Alpha, which is also a film from YRF's spy universe. If the rumours are true, then Alia joining the War 2 cast will be an excellent crossover in the spy universe.

Alia Bhatt's Role Details In War 2

A Reddit post went viral where a screenshot were shared of an entertainment journalist, Himesh Mankad, where a fan asked him if there is any possible appearance of Alia Bhatt in War 2. Tagging him, it was written, "Alia Bhatt's cameo possible in War 2?" To which Himesh wrote, "Umm...why not? May be end-credit?" hinting at Alia's possible appearance in War 2. According to the post, it is speculated that Alia Bhatt might have a cameo in the war drama. Sharing the post, it was captioned, "Alia Bhatt to have a cameo in War 2? Himesh Mankad hints at it"

After the post went viral, many fans commented under it, one user speculated that one scene from Alpha will be added in War 2, "Puri picture shoot kardi Alpha ab uska koi scene daal diya toh konsi badi baati hogi." Another one bashed for revealing it, "Wtf man!!! Cameos are supposed to be a surprise factor for the audience whats the point of revealing everything beforehand." One user commented, "Film k baarein mein sab kuch bata do taaki hamein film dekhne jaana hi na pade. Honestly so dumb of them. Rohit ka keeda inko bhi lag gaya hai."

War 2 is the sequel of 2019 film War. The second part of the film is helmed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Kiara Advani alongside Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan. The movie is set to release on August 14, 2025. Talking about being a part of War 2, Kiara Advani said, "While I am craving to do the films that I can completely shoulder independently, I feel it's also important for me to have my voice seen and heard in a big movie," further adding, "And it's all about what you do with that role. I've always felt it's about better quality screen time over anything else."

Giving example of her another War movie, Shershaah, she said, "Everyone was like, 'Oh my god, it's a war movie, and the title role is Captain Vikram Batra. What is she going to have in the film?' But the fact that you can leave a mark in a film like that in itself is a big deal."

On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan spilled some details about his character, "Kabir has definitely left a mark. And getting into Kabir's boots is going to be fun because this time, my challenge is to show Kabir in a different light. A different aspect of him which is going to be interesting".

War 2 marks Jr. NTR's first movie in Bollywood, talking about his experience, NTR stated, "Too much prep doesn't give you the chance to explore yourself. South Indian films (sets) have always been chaotically organized. Like, if the prints have to come tomorrow, the team will still ask for one extra hour because they want to make some changes in the edit. The clock is ticking; the prints have to be delivered, but you are still working on the film."
